The following position is screened but very needed and very rewarding.

Available positions for North Florida

Phone Volunteer:

The volunteer will be responsible for answering the Victim Transport Line, either at the office or forwarded to your personal smart phone. A computer is needed nearby with internet access. This is needed to obtain local maps where the victim is and to coordinate pickup. The Phone Volunteer is responsible for obtaining the information from the initial call, coordinating with the Shield Team Commander and Leader, and finally act as a Victim Services Coordinator to determine which shelter is available, age appropriate and closest to the victim.

You will be coordinating victim retrievals and response for the entire Southeast.

Northern Pennsylvania will be accepting applicants soon.

You may contact the Pennsylvania Shield Team Commander for pre-screening in the near future

This is not answering our main line, this is a Victim Transport Line. This is a critical link between the Victim and the Help we can obtain for them. We have various ways for Victims to get in contact with us,...and if they are ready to run, we will go pick them up. This is done with a safety team (Shield Team) and they work well within the confines of the law. As a Phone Volunteer, you will be screening calls from victims who are ready to run and arranging pickups by our Shield Teams. Other calls such as tips or victims who are too scared to currently run will be conferenced in to a Nationwide Human Trafficking hotline. You will receive a case number if this is the case and record the information.

Many of these victims have no idea where they are. Their Traffickers deliberately keep their locations from them for easier control of the victim and many are moved often, even in and out of the country. Part of your training will be in receiving minimal information such as street and business signs, to then computer search to find the correct area to set up the location and time of the pickup. You will be determining the on call Shield Teams response time to the new Area of Operation. You will have a database compiled of shelters and emergency shelters that will receive Trafficking Victims and will coordinate with the receiving facility. We prefer Faith Based shelters as a majority of these girls need rehab due to drugs used to control them by their traffickers. Victims suicide rates are much higher without being forced to take drugs. Faith Based rehab facilities usually average an 85% success rate versus an average of 10% for most non-Faith Based facilities. We are very results oriented. Much of the time, non Faith Based facilities will be utilized due to the shortage of receiving facilities.

You will also coordinate with local and Federal Victim Services Coordinators to include the FBI and DHS (ICE).

You will find that much of this is straight forward and checking an intake sheet off, one at a time. You will also find great satisfaction for successful retrievals.
